In a blink, my babies got big.

I have always believed in the power of collaboration. As a former art director in advertising, I learned quickly that you can't develop all the competencies you need fast enough on your own. If you don't collaborate, your ideas will be limited to your own abilities.

I have a multitude of fabulous art fantasies aching to get out of my head. Most don't see the light of day because there is a limit to what one small woman can possibly suck out of one day and get done on her own.

I’ve been toying with an idea for a while to make huge Wallpaper Art Murals from my paintings. How cool to start with wallpaper, turn it into a painting, and turn the painting back into wallpaper again.

Occasionally, the planets align and an idea collides with the perfect person. Enter the passionate and visionary interior decorator Michele Chippendale from Affordable Decorators. Michele and I have a shared love for wallpaper: our conversations started with co-creating an exclusive outdoor wallpaper design. I can’t remember now if I mentioned my Wallpaper Art Mural fantasy, or if she said something first, but within weeks she had Janine from Materialised on board and our conversations were turning into something concrete.

The pilot range of murals has been printed and are now on display in the showroom at Affordable Decorators and "Too Deliciosa" is the Special Feature at The Borrowed Nursery on the Gold Coast. The official launch will be in a couple of months, but for now I still can't believe my babies got so big so fast.
